With all of the pounding that the secular world takes from the religious right, I see no reason to ban this video. Their stuff isn't banned because if falls under the sacred veil of being "religious". Why should the opposition be shut up. At one point in this country, maybe only in a dream, we were free.
(22) (6)submitted by jessivehadit 987 days 9 hours 17 minutes ago
Nothing new there. Why should it be banned? Does anyone actually BELIEVE in religion? As in Christianity, Islamism, Hinduism etc?
(16) (8)submitted by caudurow3 987 days 9 hours 8 minutes ago
If anyone finds this video offensive then I think that person has the problem. There is nothing offensive in this video, it is merely an amalgamation of historical anecdotes. Comments like this "I am not a religious man, but what is the point on battering on christianity. If you don't believe just leave it alone. Better not talk about religion at all." are from people choosing to be offended when no offending material exists. Maybe you are not secure enough in your faith?

The bit at the start of the video is just an attention grabber, but still, although some people would be offended by that, it's actually very factual. The rest of the video provides some good historical info that exposes religions as fraud, and I suspect that is the part that got some people worried! I recommend everyone to watch the full movie of Zeitgeist.

We COULD choose not to talk about it and ignore it. We could sit back and let religion control everything from what we get to and don't get to wear to what we get to and don't get to say. Or, y'know, we could NOT be oppressed and murdered. With the KKK it is freedom of speech, with Christianity and Muslim it is freedom of religion... what about the right to safety and security guess that one gets shoved aside for a while...

# Opinions, that deviate from the ruling zeitgeist, always aggravate the crowd. - Germaine de Staël\\ The simple fact of an idea being unpopular does not make it true. Under no circumstances should this video be banned from any forum, as it is in violation of nothing more than the comfort of certain persons. In response to the argument that this video "bashes on" christianity, I would ask how uniting people by the similarities in their beliefs rather than trying to tear them apart is attacking anyone. Please wake up, we need you, and your world needs you.

It should be banned in principle, however in my opinion, not for its content...Just like this webpage, when you register to use youtube’s services you agree to specific usage parameters. These parameters are called “terms of usage”, which state that the website has the authority to terminate your registration for any reason they see fit. When you check the “terms of usage” box you are essentially forfeiting your freedom of speech, and the owners may, at their will, delete any content and/or account they want. With that being said I make two points. One, although I do not necessarily agree with everything said in the short clip, I do believe that youtube is foolish for eliminating any point of view, whatever they may be, because it takes away for constructive dialog. And two, you don’t have to visit the webpage so if you don’t like the rules you don’t have to go. But then again, the good thing is if they erase it you can just post it again!

ONLY if this video THREATENED HARM physically or emotionally/mentally ... like, kitties will be raped and kiddies will be photo'ed naked. threatining an ideal like... i will try to discredit a religion or gov't by presenting my ideas and facts doesnt count. even the teensiest THREAT of harm to anyone person or even animal shoudl something be banished from the land. lets burn books while we are at it like the nazis WHO ACTUALLY THREATENED AND EXECUTED THOSE THREATS!

Who the hell do u think u r, thinking that just because u don't have any faith, that u should be going around bashing other people religions and faiths. I'm not saying I'm against the fact that your not Christian, thats your issue. But you don't see me running around spending weeks, months, maybe years researching, so I can make a video about if your religion actually exists or not. If you were an atheist (just an example) and i said that your faith was wrong and that instead of going to heaven or hell, you would die and become nothing, just another piece of shit that worms feed off of. Would I also just be expressing my views, cause it's my right?? And just so you noe, just because we have the right to free speech, doesn't mean we should take advantage of it. Like, just because we could steal sumthing and get away with it, doesn't mean we should be going around pronouncing KKK, or discrimination, or make videos that can kill someones faith, just because you feel that its your right. If thats the case, then you shouldn't have that right. Maybe it will teach you sum respect, and show you how thankful you should be for the rights you have. This isn't about covering up the truth, its about respecting people, their lifestyles, and their religions, whether you agree with them or not. Thanx 2 u, I hope no1's faith got ruined by this video. And as for the author of this video, I'm gonna pray for you, cause clearly, your gonna need it.

Absolutely NOT! "Seek the Truth and the truth shall set you free." Hmmm! Wonder where that sentiment came from. One of the greatest mystery fables of all time is the exposure of the literalism of the god-man named Jesus....no more a literally a flesh-born creature than the mythic gods of the ancient world. Nor was this mythose in it's origins intended to be taken as a literal "history". Debate if you must, but the revelation of Truths need no sanctions or censors...only lies and liars seek to enforce sanction and censorship.

First of all, the creator says that Christians should look into this before they decide, and As a Christian I did. Most of his facts were either not true (like the fact that Horus was born of a virgin), stretched (the story about the famous star does not actually work because first of all the wise men were not traveling on the 24th of December [because Jesus wasn't born then] and because it took them months to get their not just one day), or irrelevant (Jesus was not born on December 25, that is just a date that we celebrate his birth). There are many other reasons why this guys argument is ridiculous (trust me I am studying this) but I hope that people take his advice and research this even if you do intially believe it. I believe that this should continue to be shown so that people can learn to educate themselves on issues such as these so we all don't turn into ignorant adults (like many of those who rule the world today.)

You are silly. I have check on Wikipedia and none of your claim about the birth, dead and ressurection of other figures is true. Indeed, in Christianity, the birth, dead and ressurection of Jesus is the most important things. The virgin birth represent that He doesn't have original sin like other human who born from human sexual act. The death on the cross represent the sacrifice for atonement between sinned human and Holy God. The ressurection represent His victory over death and thus can give eternal life to whoever who has faith in Him. I am a Christian and I think your video shouldn't be banned, so that everyone know that false teaching are really exist and make them become aware of it. In the other hand, it should be flagged as 18 and above, because this matter might be too hard to be understood by below 18, thus can affect their point of view. Faith is a personal choice. Let those who make a choice on faith be mature enough to understand who they believe and what the consequences of their faith.

As a christian, you are taught that questioning gods exhistance is sinful. This is to keep the sheep from running away and used to be very successful. However, there is too much information at our disposal now and people are becoming more wiser to subscribe to the "BS" that is religion.
(1) (0)submitted by Spawn666 868 days 3 hours 9 minutes ago
shouldn't be banned cause its just another opinion. plus i don't see why it should cause anyone any grief either. One of the fallacies i see of some religions is that they don't allow for internal analysis. If for example as a christian i were allowed to question certain aspects of christianity without being labeled by fellow christians as a heathen for simply wondering then i would be able to view videos like this, and dismiss them afterwards without even impacting my faith. by having a 'no questions' clause you are essentially creating problems that then require you to ban movies like this which effectively force viewers to question themselves (if only for a moment). freedom of thought would strengthen religion imo, not degrade it. never understood that one
(0) (0)submitted by bongo21 853 days 14 hours 24 minutes ago
No ban! Even if it's BS, it's stimulating and makes us question what we take for granted. Religions, like cities, are often built on the foundations of those that went before, and use many of the same components.

I'm a christian, and am not offended by this video. I hold certain beliefs, but I do not contend that people who participate in other faiths should convert just because. Faith is a very personal experience, and no amount of arguing can change that. That said, I don't think this video should be banned, but I do think that those that watch it should inded do their own research. I have found that it contains information that is not accurate, although some would argue against the bible. I find the end of the video very interesting though... "If christians can, why can't I?..." How about "if buddhists, or krishnas, etc.... why can't I?" You walk a fine line when you speak your mind, especially about something like religion. I don't know, perhaps you've been persecuted by some zealous idiots, but I myself would never deny someone the right to practice or voice their faith... how then, has it come to mean that I must silence mine?

Yes, this video claims that Christianity is BS. Yes Christians are pissed off. Why wouldn't they be? The thing that Christians need to realize is that their religion is only a theory, NOT FACT! You, Christians may very well have faith. A few of you may even be good people. The problem is, you don't have any proof of your mythical religion (this is not to say that it is false). Until you can prove the truth of your religion, don't use it as the basis of an argument.
(0) (0)submitted by Tlukes 831 days 20 hours 57 minutes ago
It states facts, if you don't agree, research them, but it's a free world and it's not bashing any religion, merely pointing at certain things, leaving to us to decide if we believe or not. The only people who would feel threatened are those who are uncertain of their own faith. Uncertainty leads to research, which leads to enlightenment. That is how progress is made. It doesn't cost to listen, and if this isn't for you, simply forget it. No need to feel threatened.

I really don't mean to hate on the whole free speech thing and I agree If a christian can believe why can't you...I just hope you can go back and do a little more research...like maybe getting your dates right or figuring out why Christians worship on Sunday...The fact is over the past 2000 years Christians have screwed up Jesus...made him into this massive religious figure that we hang on a cross and show him off...going look what he did for me...The fact is the message that Jesus brought is the important part and that is simply to love and care about God...care about our planet and the things that God gives us...and love and care about people. period.

What this video says is nothing new. Every thing listed in this video has actually been shown by channels like discovery and National Geographic. Every catholic must know that their religion is a compilation from many other religions as are most religions. It is not how it was founded that should matter to you but that you belive in it and what other people say should in the end have no effect on your faith. This video is neither against catholics or portrays them in a negative matter and should not be flaged or removed.

interesting, but not accurate. Research will show this is not true, astrological stuff maybe, but historical facts of the prior kings is not true. I can count the ways just by what I know, and I'm not even a religious or astrological scholar. first of all, this video is grouped with a bunch of other conspiracy theory videos, which tells u something, second, he's making assumptions which aren't true. the Bible never specifies when Jesus was born, also, just researching Horus, which I did while he talked, not even beginning to research the other people... the stuff was untrue. nothing says he was born of a virgin, performed miracles at 12, baptized at 30... etc. and some of those people he mentioned are very famous historically. if ALL those people shared the same attributes, that woulda been exposed a long time ago. no the Bible never says when Jesus was born. and you know arabic, bethlehem doesn't mean house of bread it means house of meat. ba'ad this joke tells us to research before we assume things, I didn't even have to do extensive research to pick out numerous flaws in this piece.

If a religious man can't stand nine minutes of his whole life to watch a video, then he argues with himself. One of the main ideas in any religion is patience. People should choose what to belief in, because people can only enlighten themselves and not others. Since there is no point in stopping someone who will learn this eventually, people don't have the right to ostricize words spoken from anyone.

I do not think that this video should be banned. Freedom of speech is one of the fundamental freedoms which gives people the right to express their opinions and beliefs - no matter what they may be. Honestly, one of the major reasons this video should not be censored or banned is because of how much debate is occurring on the subjects presented in the film - including Parts II & III, not just Part I. Debating, questioning, researching - these are the manner by which to seek truth; whatever that truth may be. How can you debate, question or research if there is no opposition? No who who dares to question the status quo? As Roosevelt once said, "The truth is found when men are free to pursue it.” Banning this video is essentially the removal of an individual's freedom to search out the truth. You cannot pursue the validity of an opinion or belief if you have no knowledge of it. On another note, someone further up noted that "it should be flagged as 18 and above, because this matter might be too hard to be understood by below 18, thus can affect their point of view. Faith is a personal choice. Let those who make a choice on faith be mature enough to understand who they believe and what the consequences of their faith.". So, my assertion is that, (and I know I'm getting off topic) perhaps religions as a whole should not be taught to those under the age of 18 (or 16, whatever). By this view, those under 18 would not be mature enough to fully comprehend what they are being taught, and therefore could not make a fully rational and informed decision as to what they believe. Because, when you really think about it, indoctrinating young children to one belief is disturbingly wrong. Let them decide for themselves - do not influence them. Give them the scriptures, beliefs and information of and about every religion, let them read and research them all, and then see where their true, personal beliefs lie. (I'm sure this would never happen, but it was worth mentioning).

I've watched the entire Zeitgeist video, its 2 hours long, and is updated since this video was put on youtube, last year, the updates have fixed what were errors in the information, such as Mahamad being on that list. Also this video is not just one of religion, but one of 9/11 and one of what really runs the USA. It is well worth the watch to be aware. Jordan Maxwell is one of the historians who speaks in more detail about facts hidden by religous institutions and government. google search "jordan Maxwell" if you want to learn more.

the belief that a cosmic jewish zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree....yeah, makes perfect sense

Just read the responses from the 'YES' people. You will see how blind beliefs can make you. They sound so ignorant and closed minded. The facts in this video do in fact check out. It is good. Nothing wrong with stating facts. It amazes me when people take fact stating as personal attacks. If your religion wasn't built on modified versions of astrology, you might have a defense worth reading. But when it comes down to it, all religions are built on modified astrology.

I'll be very brief...... This Video alone highlights the "Magic" of the Internet community and how people are having a chance to , globally, communicate with each other, by presenting some opinions or FACTS, (as this video does) and put them under discussion, regardless if someone agrees or not with these. And that my fellow citizens of this planet is the absolute expression of DEMOCRACY as we Greeks invented some time ago. REMEMBER the "closer" we are getting get as people, regardless our religious belief or our nationalities a better chance we will give to our children to replace TERROR with LOVE. My Regards to all of you, MJ...

Absolutely not! This video is very interesting, a lot of its information is contestable though, it's very important to do a research as I did after you watch it. Still, it's undeniable that there are just too many similarities among all those religious figures. I don't see why religious people want this video to be banned. Isn't their faith strong enough not to be fooled by something like this? What is the problem? Where is the freedom of speech? Videos shouldn't be banned just because some people have a different opinion about their contents. I'm agnostic, but regardless, I think it's healthy for anyone from any religion to watch this and learn more about their beliefs instead of just blindly worshiping something they're not even sure about, but still, I guess that some people just prefer to live in ignorance, thus they want the truth to be concealed from their eyes. Ignorance is a bliss, isn't it?

The idea of banning videos, literature, speech, etc, etc, etc, is facist. Accountability begins w/ the individual, therefore, let the individual accept his/her responsibility for what they what to see/read/watch,etc. BTW, this particular video RE: the multitude of messiahs is actually, literally, "old news"!!!

I'm not in favor of banning the video outright, but I have no problem with its removal from youtube, particularly since it's merely a clip from another film. Why? Because while I actually agree with the premise of the film, the logic is sloppy and it's a poorly disguised attack on Christianity, not a serious examination of world religion. In internet speak that's trolling, we don't need more people intentionally trolling religious folk like this, it accomplishes nothing. Remove from youtube plz.

its not battering christianity.... its fundermentally saying that many religions are based upon several of the same ideas and concepts.. this video is only pointing out an explanation on why this could be occuring and i feel that it is wrong to remove a video that has expressed no opinion of its own towards any religion but enabled people to understand why religion says what it does it sure as hell beats ''because god says so'' or ''because the holy book says so'' thats all i chuffing wrote on my GCSE examination for religious studies and i got a decent pass grade with doing that... this video is just one step towards a concreate answer to WHY it is and doesnt express WHAT the religion says... why do people want to ban it? something to hide?? its like the bleeding holy grail!!!!!!!!!!

Before you go around trying to debunk Christianity, at least get your facts straight. It is very easy to criticize a religion when one doesn't know about it. The most important thing I noticed was how wrong the video was in saying Jesus was born on December 25th, that is just the day that was chosen to celebrate it. The Church has made it very clear that they do not know when Jesus was actually born, so please don't put Dec. 25th as a definitive answer. Also, please correct your grammar mistakes... it's "resurrected" not "ressurected". Also, you call Jesus the newest of these "similar" saviors, but you date Dionysus to 200 AD, so really which is it? Are you lying or did you get the wrong date? Anyways, I write this so that troubled people who have no idea who to believe in realize the misconceptions of your video and go out and seek the truth about these things for themselves. Have a nice day :D

This movie is mildly manipulative and therefore intellectually dissatisfying. However, conspiracy movies like "Loose Change" have every right to declare falsehoods like the best of them. The idealism of a born-again savior predating Christ is true in some regards, but this movie makes connections where connections are not due. As was pointed out, we merely celebrate Christianity on the 25th, which is more like a Hallmark holiday like Valentine's. Please, like any other piece of information, have an open mind and be cautious of fraudulent materials.

If someone loses its faith by a simple video, one must ask how real that faith is. All believes are confused by paradox, while they actually are part of the same reality. This video simply shows that facts & faiths have a similar origin and it isn't right that some proclaim to have the only rights to divinity or truth. To proclaim to have the only true faith is an act of crime against faith itself. Life is vaster then anyone could imagine. To embrace different views and faiths will lead to a deeper understanding of life and a life fulfilled with love and compassion. Religion could and should be a beautiful thing, not a way to manipulate or abuse our life. Anyone who tries giving us more understanding about religion and Opposes manipulators or abusers should be honored! Not banned!

Yes, because this video is a lie, an attack on Christianity, not a video trying to display facts, but manipulating them to form their own "TRUTH." For instance, the religion part of Zeitgeist and how they try to relate many other Pre-Christianity to Jesus, in which they try to relate Jesus to the sun, is the producers of this movie using these false "facts" to their own agenda. I'll give you one of the MANY flaws in this video, I will elaborate on the subject above. People are so gullible and filled with ignorance and hate they are being sucked in by this nonsense. The film makers are misrepresenting Horace as we know it from Egyptology. The film makers are making you believe something about Egyptology that is simply NOT THE TRUTH. And you, are so dumb you don't even see it. Furthermore you don't even know what I am or what I believe. Like the film makers, you don't want the truth. You just want to vent your hatred. Allow me to give you a heads up chissup19. First, it is true that Egyptian legend has Horus being born to Isis. But what about the trailing name of "Mary"? No mention in any Egyptian literature links this. Isis was not a virgin, but the widow of Osiris, another Egyptian god who conceived Horus with Isis. Horus was born during the month of Khoiak (Oct/Nov),a fact which does not help their claim of marrying the stories of Horus to Jesus, anyway the Bible never assigns a birth date to Jesus. The film says a star in the East announced Horace's birth and that three kings came to bring gifts to the "savior." When stories detailing the birth of Horus are examined, there is no star or three kings who come to visit him. Trying to link this to Christianity fails. The Bible has magi; wise men, not kings coming to Jesus with their actual number not being stated. Finally, the movie calls Horus a "savior." Egyptology has no descriptions of Horus as a savior to or serving in that capacity. Horus had no "ministry." Horus becoming a teacher at age 12 is nowhere to be found in accounts of Horus; neither that he had 12 "disciples." Egyptology:Horus had four semi-gods as followers and 16 human followers and blacksmiths who went into battle with him. Same BULLSHIT different pile. The claims of Horus being buried for three days and resurrected are not to be found in any ancient Egyptian texts either. Some accounts have Osiris being brought back to life by Isis and going to be the lord of the underworld. But there is no mention of a burial for three days and no mention of his physically coming out of a grave in the same physical body he went in with and never dying again. And there is certainly no account of Horus dying for others as Jesus did. About the statements made of Horus being "baptized" and a "ministry." The accounts remotely related to Horus and water are stories told of Osiris whose body was cut upby his enemy, Set, and scattered throughout the earth. Isis supposedly found each part of the body and after having Osiris float in the Nile, he came back to life or became the lord of the underworld, stating that Horus was "baptized" is simply playing fast and loose with Christian terminology. The film makers are full of SHIT! No accounts of Horus being betrayed are in his portrayals and he did not die by crucifixion. His death is described as being torn to pieces, with Iris requesting that the crocodile god fish him out of the water he was placed into, the film does not mention this, it does not fit with their agenda. The film puts the account of Horus as originating 3,000 B.C., which predates the invention and practice of crucifixion, so here is another historical problem. The film is full of these blatant lies. The attempt to say Horus was a forerunner of Jesus fails from lack of historical evidence. The film continues like this with the other mythological pagan deities that pre-dated Jesus (Attis, Krishna, etc.) The film says that Hindu's Krishna was also crucified and resurrected. Hindu teachings say that Krishna was killed by an arrow shot from a hunter which accidentally hit his heel, after he died, he went to Brahman. More BULLSHIT handed to you from the film makers! It's full of it. It is interesting to note that the person of Jesus and Christianity is the only faith attacked in the movie -- Islam, Hinduism, and others don't warrant a mention. Though the film's onslaught is against religions of the world in general they target ONLY Christianity and the Bible. This is obvious bigotry and HATE PROPAGANDA with no intention of presenting FACTS. They present only hatred and BULLSHIT! Making themselves GUILTY of their own accusations.

I'm literally crying here. After first I did not believe any of it then I came here and read all the "No!" comments and It makes me feel like they really have won... they really did it... we're gonna be herded like sheeps and theres nothing any of you want to do about it not even letting people watch this movie. If your offended by the religion stuff at least tell me your not offended by all the political things... America is going to waste and I thought me and family could move to Europe or Australia but it seems that I'll be deciding whether to grow my children in a society that lies to itself or grow them in a country that will be under the siege by the very country you believe in... I hope in 15 years you all are happy with what you have decided here today because you just basically decided to throw your rights and the constitution and there was one man trying to help us as well and his name is Ron Paul but he's not gonna win because you people are having a popularity contest and are to blind to see what is really happening.... so keep watching American idol and keep watching Britteny's spears go to rehab every time a crisis happens in our country and we're distracted from it by our media.... just know I choose to be a human being who believes in Jesus and he is the only one who will protect the outnumbered.

The way i see it, either all religions are true or none of them are. I'm more against christianity however because they worship a being who's son part timed as a carpenter yet they try to push and force their belief on everyone else, yeah, I'm talking to all you christians out there. Not only that, they go door to door bugging you about this all mighty being who created us in his image like that says a lot about him seeing how screwed up we are. and back in the good old days noone remembers firsthand anymore, they waged war on a country of nice people so that they could say that the oh so sacred bethlehem and all of it's third world riches was theirs. A lot of people died in the crusade for the "Holy Land" (That's a load of garbage to me). On a different note, I've noticed something, almost all of you religious people have bad spelling and/or grammar, showing that you need to learn to spell if you are trying to convince people you are intelligent enough to think that your religion might be misled or altogether some madman's fance from long long ago. Balvont, I agree with you on the fact that America is to wrapped up in the media to fully realize the situation we are in. But I say that Jesus will not fall out of the sky and save us. When you are outnumbered, don't give up and hope someone else would save you, fight harder to make up for that difference. If an army is twice as big as yours, fight twice as hard to even the odds. If anyone would like to contact me with either a debate or just plain hate mail, I would love to read it. In fact, here's my Email address: inuyasha30593@yahoo.com. Can't wait for the mail to come dripping in.

People need to get beyond the first remarks made in this video which are hard to swollow for most religious people ( including me) but watching the rest of this documentary really enlightened me. You all should watch the whole thing before passing judgement on this documentary... maybe if we get more people to finally open thier eyes to the impending problems in our world, we can do something about it. censoring is a form of hiding information.. and this is the internet where the access to information should be well under our rights. In a world where everything is swept under the rug and everything is meant to be nice and sugar coated, it is imperative that there be some form of rebellion in order to keep ourselves cautious of what we believe and what is reality. if u watch the rest of zeitgeist it gives u an opinion, and its up to the viewer to believe it or not.. frankly i would rather decide on this material than who's going to win American Idol

You can tell this is the guys first documentary cause he doesn't research what the Bible says at all. There is a lot to explain but to sum it up, they are totally wrong about the story of Jesus. In the movie they take in to account modern day Christianity and not the Bible. Christ was never born on December 25, the bible says nothing of three wise men (they are not numbered), there are some other things too. Humans took a lot of the pagan traditions and put them in Christianity, there are many pagan things mentioned in the movie. The movie did a good job at disproving modern Christianity and Christmas but not the Bible and True Christianity. Jesus Christ was the SON of God.

The author encourages people to take note of what the film is saying, and search the sources and compare, read and investigate for ourselves. If you know basic history facts, then you are ready to begin the journey to the truth. Millions of thanks to the authors of this film. It's simply the most amazing gift to the Mankind, after the internet. Don't fear the unknown.Be free.

Frankly, anyone who's saying that people who were born and raised christian won't be offended by this are lying, because this is flat out telling them they're wrong, whether they admit it or not. Now I personally believe very much in Zeitgeist. I don't believe in ANYTHING 100% because I'm a human being and therefore I believe any belief should be allowed up and to not be banned. Why? Because we need to be able to see all the ideas and decide which ones we want to believe. Therefore, those of you who are offended by this, shouldn't be angery or offended by it, you can decide for yourself whether or not you want to believe it and leave everyone else to do the same.

I frankly don't have the time and energy to go through point by point nitpicking at any inconsistencies in this video, however I notice that no-one in the "Yes, this video isn't 100% correct" camp is able to refute more than a couple of points (whether they are correct in their refuting these points or not). It's a point of view. A lot of it IS correct. It certainly raises points that I think any Religious person should think about. I believe the crux of the argument is very similar to a sound-byte I heard from Richard Dawkins (to paraphrase): "When you understand why you don't believe in them, then you'll understand why I don't believe in yours". For me this video does nothing more than point out the ludicrous thinking that allows people who worship jesus to label ra, ba'al, thor, odin, kali etc as false gods but to follow their own belief system with a singlemindedness and determination borne of necessity. If they are to allow the logic of this argument even a little bit of processing time then they may very well feel quite foolish about the amount of time and energy they've been dedicating to their own "false god". I understand, NO-ONE likes to feel foolish, it's not a nice feeling. But videos and articles along these lines allow people who are strong enough to admit that they might not be right time to do so in the privacy of their own home, and perhaps even experience a real change of thinking. How dare we deny them their right to change? This video is only offensive to certain members of certain belief systems, just like videos purporting that jesus is coming to suddenly transport the faithful to heaven leaving the unfaithful behind, or videos which make unsubstantiated claims such as that all of the water in the universe is on earth, there to support life for god's people, may offend the sensibilities of humanists. But we allow those videos because who knows? Maybe an agnostic would view the latter type of video and suddenly find their faith again. Personally I'd hope not, but that's the point isn't it? And who are we to deny them their chance at that by the same logic?

People have the right to speak their minds. and religion should be talk about because human kind is at war because of religion! if we'd all just open our eyes and realize that natures magic is the best religion of all. For me there's only one religion and that's the truth and nothing but. Without water, grass will die... if i cut myself, my wound will bleed and my eyes will cry *** blah blah, hell i wanna see more of this vid!

To ban this video is to initiate intellectual, emotional, and spiritual war. It is one of the most important films of our time simply because it deliberately challenges so many of the uncritically absorbed habits of mind to which we are susceptible, it provides an alternative perspective on the world, and it promotes dialogue between opposing factions. One does not have to believe in all of what it says to be able to appreciate its value as a film that promotes growth through an uncomfortable experience. We’re all just a little too comfortable lately, don’t you think? Without such challenges to our beliefs, how can we expect to grow-- even if the end result is a deeper understanding of why we believe what we believe? Step back for a moment to consider the nature of all media— whether that is journalism, a ballet, a painting, a film or a sculpture. We can all agree that all artists have to make decisions— whether or not those decisions are entirely conscious— about what to include and what to exclude from their chosen working space. For a TV screenwriter, the working space might be the length of an episode or of a series; for a painter the working space might be the size of the canvas or the range of available colors. For dancers, the working space might include the size of the stage, the materials available for costuming and makeup and the range of skills which s/he possesses. For writers, the working space includes the number of pages which can be dedicated, the choice of words used to construct an image, or the allusions which can be made to other piece of art. Art can be created from anything, limited only by physical circumstance. Given the very real limitations of budget, physical space, and personal ability, can any piece of art (or news) ever be created without an implicit agenda? Even if an artist goes into the creative process without any deliberate ideological agenda, the production often takes on a life of its own when the memories/experiences of an audience member interact with those encapsulated within the artwork. The culture of the artist ultimately must seep into the artwork since, in the creation of an artwork, the artist must rely on his or her own personal experiences in the world to create the art. Understanding all this, consider again this film. Is the fact that an agenda is present really the problem— given that all artistic compositions inherently have an agenda? This producer is very clear about his agenda right off the bat and it’s overt throughout the film; I see this as being far more honest than subversive attempts to disguise an agenda as “truth.” After all, to whom does the privilege of determining “truth” really belong? I raise this question primarily in light of the ongoing debate about Zeitgeist. As an artist, the directors only have so many resources with which to construct and express an idea. The agenda is set then by the choices they have to make in terms of what to communicate and when— or what to communicate “a little” or “not at all.” Can any artistic composition ever express the entire truth? What is the difference between bias and perspective? This is why we MUST have media freedom; we MUST have exposure to multiple perspectives in order to develop our OWN concepts of what IS and IS NOT true. Shame on you youtube.

The religious arguments here are NOT EVEN BASED on what the text actually says; most of them are "pick and choose" interpretations that neglect the full context of the bible. For religious people, you really seem to fail at understanding the most basic of judeo-christian principles: free will. You would have us all enslaved just like so many kings who wronged Jesus and his followers. Wasn't Jesus an intelligent divine who contradicted the norms of his time? Perhaps you ought to spend more time with the Bible before denying others the freedom to choose, even if that choice leads to their own demise. One thing the bible recognizes which you apparently do not is that one can't be forced to adopt another's beliefs. To claim to be the "holder of truth" as your single argument for banning this video is a direct contradiction of what you are told to do: suspend judgment for you are not qualified to judge ANYONE except YOURSELF. He who has no sin may cast the first stone.

This should not be banned. I see no bashing going on here. It is simply giving us another point of a story. And some people can't seem to handle another person(s) view. Isn't the point not what you believe in but that at least you believe in something. It's amazing how one subject can set people off. I grew up going to church and I have always kept an open mind. Who can really say that one thing is absolute truth. It's usually a melting pot of different ideas and things. Look at the English lang. We have words taken from all sorts of lang. why couldn't the same be thought of with this subject. Things get twisted when stories get passed down or when people want to twist things for their own purposes. This is not hurting anyone.

This video is just telling the truth. Freedom Of Speach is a human right and this video being banned just for saying something that some people don't agree with is going against that right. So what if you don't like what is said in the video? What if someone said that you can't verbally pray to your god anymore or you will be thrown in jail? If this video is banned for telling what is REALLY going on, guess what? IT MUST BE THE TRUTH! Why would anyone want it gone besides for the fact that it is true and the Government wants it gone? Besides, There is no bashing/thrashing of any peoples, religions or governments that I see in this video. It doesn't say that anything is BAD it does however allow you to THINK for a change and open your mind in order for you to make YOUR OWN choice on the subject matter. Having it banned is just proving that what it says is right. NO THIS VIDEO SHOULD NOT BE BANNED!!!

This video should not be banned. According to the 1st ammentment, all americans have the freedom of speech. This video has the right to be seen and heard and not be titled wrong. Also it is so sad that many people cannot accept others point of view. People should try to keep an open mind. This video explores many subjects in a different view point. It opens our mind to so many topics that a lot of us have blindly accepted without even thinking twice about what it actually is. Yes, the ideas relayed in this video may not have reliable proofs...but then what about religion? Why do people accept it even though there is no evidence proving it? I do not know whether religion is real or not, but instead of labeling the video as blasphemy, why don't you ask yourself, arn't the formation of ideas in religion similiar to those of the video? They are all just theories waiting to be proved. Either could be right. One more thing, think about the second part of the video very well. Doesn't it kind of explain what is happening to economy today? ~An open mind will let you understand many things.~

Personally I believe most of this, but even if I didn’t I would still say it shouldn’t be banned. We have the right to see facts. There’s no harm in watching it. None at all. If this video is banned just because some religious people don’t believe it then shouldn’t religious videos be banned too? If it upsets people then Youtube gets ride of it. They remove Zeitgeist, then its only fair they remove religious videos too.

If people are going to blindly have faith, then they should equally blindly educate themselves to the facts. It is historical fact that Christianity was totally stolen from other world religions far older and more pagan than we realize. It WAS manufactured to control and masses and it's worked very well in the U.S.A. and other countries as well. Look at the Vatican! If that isn't criminal and pagan what is? It's sad that people choose to be ignorant and just have "faith," which is the word they use, when it actually means choose to remain ignorant and stupid. Worse it causes most of the grief in the world... but simpletons will keep on it for a lifetime as they just can't cope with the fact that although many of us don't know what GOD is??? We sure as hell know what it's NOT!

If you are looking for a bullet proof argument of something that happened 2 to 5 thousand years ago you will spend a life time satisfiying yourself and a few others. If you are interested in a better explanation for human beliefs this is a good start. How could a conspiracy movie offer a better explanation of 911 than your government. Every peice of the governments explanation of 911 requires you to implicitly believe your government but they have never shown flight 77 hitting the pentagon. Would it be too much to ask a devout christian to prove that God the sun is something different than the son of god.

I was raised Catholic. My mom dragged my ass to church every Sunday to get my weekly dose of religious propaganda. Why? Because her brainwashed parents passed on that same brainwashing to her and now she was attempting to do the same to me. And that's basically how all religions/sects operate. Luckily my dad was Lutheran and once I turned 12, gave me the choice of going to church or not. Guess you can figure out which one I chose. Personally I believe "religion" is for the weak. They can't handle going through life without leaning on it like a crutch for moral support to carry them through. Well, if that's what they need, fine. Just don't shove that stuff down my throat or come to my door early Sunday morning peddling your "Watchtower" pamphlet. Religion was invented by man to control man. It's the biggest scam of all time! People back then were a bunch of uneducated nitwits , pretty much like the population of the US is becoming today. Just watch "jaywalking" on the Jay Leno Show sometime. Dave Copperfield would have been considered a God back then had he showed those morons his bag of tricks. Bottom line is this: "Noone " has ever come back from the dead and told us he's seen "squat", whether it be Jesus or God. Noone has ever come back at all. Hint, hint! I concur with George Carlin. There's this invisible guy in the sky, convenient huh? Named , lets see now, what did people name him? Oh yeah, God. Too bad noone has ever met the guy, right? Can you imagine walking into a courtroom and telling the judge, God asked me to do "whatever"? He's going to find your ass guilty and for you to go screw yourself. So much for the judicial system believing in God. Just like Carlin said, it's a business and it's all about money. Period! People who want this movie banned are just afraid of having this religious "scam" exposed, because that's exactly what it is. They want the "scam" to continue, just like the bankers want to continue theirs.

Your faith is yours, my faith is mine. You don't need to prove existence/nonexistence of God. If someone wants to believe something, nobody can stop him/her. I believe in God and i am proud. I am a muslim and my holy book Qur'an-i Kareem tells me ''there is only one God''. God sent us thousands of prophets Muhammmed, Jesus and Moses are the most known ones. Howewer this doesn't change anything. Because they sent by the same God. I am a muslim and i like Muhammed, Jesus, Moses, Yusuf, Yunus, Noah, Adam... I am a muslim and i like all the religions !

This video is based on pure fact, you cannot deny it! People are saying: "Just leave religion alone if you don't believe in it". But the fact of the matter is that religion has simply too much influence and power in today's world for us to just "leave it alone"! We need to open our eyes and think practically and for the future, not become dependant on this delusional "almighty" being!

I, a Catholic by birth, and now agnostic whom has noticed the phenomena of many religions similarities. I have studied the tenants of religions, which allows me the ability to understand persecution when I see it. Religious attacks in other stances, this however, is not a religious attack. This is more among a debate. If your religion allows conversion (This being most with the noticed exclusion of Hindu*), then you would be quite a hypocrite to not recognize that simple information would relieve your decisions in religious afirmation. It would be something such as handing out a flyer for a political belief in contrast to rewards, such as "Heaven" or eternal peace. To solve the argument however, of whether or not Youtube CAN limit it? Yes, it's a private profiteering organization with no strict public funding, giving it the right to reject hosting of media it (the company as a whole) disagrees with. Is it right to block this media? Probably not. However, this rather plurality ran group will most likely NOT succeed in persuading Youtube's next BLOCK for posting. Also, it's not suggested that you put offensive material to certain religions in it and that you have rights to the media you are using, which you CLEARLY do not have. Have fun though, Jtr2you@yahoo.com

Many of the religious beliefs that persist today are now irrelevant and based on the ignorance, lack of technology and science of the past. When examined and clarified from a factual, historic perspective, most have a simple scientific, cultural or even economic explanation. People believed in what kept them alive, and, as with all human experiences, they needed to create stories and personify these forces of nature. Today, as with many eras of humankind, these stories are taken out of context and exploited for the purpose of manipulation, oppression, denial, power and greed. religion is the cause of more strife and evil on earth than good- the Middle East (and even the US) situation is proof of that! This video sheds the much-needed simplicity on a subject that has been distorted and misused for far too long. If people need to believe in God, why can't they just worship Nature, which is the most amazing miracle of all (of course created by God's Big Bang!), rather than spin ridiculous conclusions and excuses from what was originally an explanation of the seasons and chance?! OK, so if there is a God, he/she "made" us the most intelligent creatures -- why can't we just be grateful and use our brains, rather than blame/credit him/her for everything with stupid statements like "It is God's Will." THANK YOU FOR THIS BRILLIANT VIDEO!

If there was ever an argument for World Peace then this video is supporting it! I am an open minded person who won't say "this is so" or "this isn't so" unless I am 100% convinced. Show me the truth, show me the facts! Am I 100% convinced this video is true or false? Well I know that "I think therefore I am" and this video convinces me that (through my experiences in life) I am damn well pretty near the percentage on the side of it being true! EVERYONE as a right to express an opinion and to be heard including you, including me and including the people who made and participated in this video. Any form of censorship is bad in any circumstance. That’s freedom of speech! If you don’t like the video just don’t watch it, as I don’t watch any Christian Channel. It can be offensive for some people? Maybe but that’s the real life, especially Internet. You can express any thing you want about your religion (including hate toward others); I just ignore it.

My goodness if you wish to pull videos from YouTube then go through all of them and really see some of the ones that tear religion apart with the parodies they do which I even feel are harmful yet they keep them showing and this one shows truth and why would they keep pulling it? It's documented truth.
